Kissimmee, FL- En su 92da reunión anual celebrada el 28 de enero, la Cámara de Comercio del Condado Kissimmee / Osceola instaló a Chris Gent, vicepresidente de comunicaciones corporativas de Kissimmee Utility Authority, como presidente para el 2017. Gent servirá hasta el 31 de diciembre de 2017.
Gent sucedió a Sharon Smoley, director estatal de relaciones del gobierno para Charter Communications, quien fungió como presidenta en el 2016.
La Cámara de Comercio de Condado Kissimmee/Osceola es una organización privada, sin fines de lucro, con una membresía de aproximadamente 900 empresas comerciales, organizaciones cívicas, instituciones educativas e individuos. Es la cámara de comercio más grande de la Florida Central.

Gent ha servido en el consejo de la Cámara desde 2010. También sirve en las juntas de la Cámara de la Fundación, Community Vision, Kissimmee Main Street, el Florida Hospital Kissimmee Community Advisory Board, la Florida Public Relations Association Counselors Network y la Florida Public Relations Education Foundation.
En KUA, Gent es responsable de las comunicaciones corporativas internas y externas, incluyendo marketing y publicidad, medios y relaciones públicas, comunicaciones de empleados, eventos especiales y filantropía organizacional. Tiene un bachillerato en comunicaciones de la Universidad de Florida Central y una maestría en relaciones públicas estratégicas de la Universidad George Washington en Washington,DC.


KUA’s Chris Gent Installed as Chairman of Kissimmee Chamber

Kissimmee, FL.– At its 92nd annual meeting held on Jan. 28, the Kissimmee/Osceola County Chamber of Commerce installed Chris Gent, vice president of corporate communications for Kissimmee Utility Authority, as its 2017 chairman. Gent will serve until Dec. 31, 2017.
Gent succeeds Sharon Smoley, state director of government affairs for Charter Communications, who served as chairman in 2016.
The Kissimmee/Osceola County Chamber of Commerce is a private, non-profit, membership driven organization comprised of approximately 900 business enterprises, civic organizations, educational institutions and individuals. It is the largest chamber of commerce in Central Florida.

Gent has served on the Chamber board since 2010. He also serves on the boards of the Chamber Foundation, Community Vision, Kissimmee Main Street, Florida Hospital Kissimmee Community Advisory Board, Florida Public Relations Association Counselors’ Network and the Florida Public Relations Education Foundation.
At the utility, Gent holds responsibility for internal and external corporate communications, including marketing and advertising, media and public relations, employee communications, special events and organizational philanthropy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in strategic public relations from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
