Orlando, FL – La Cámara de Comercio Hispana del Área Metropolitana de Orlando (HCCMO) celebró su vigésimo acto de Instalación de la Junta Directiva con un exitoso almuerzo en el precioso salón de conferencias de Church Street en el centro de Orlando, con la asistencia de más de 480 invitados, entre ellos, empresarios, líderes de la comunidad y oficiales electos, incluyendo a la alcaldesa del Condado Orange, Teresa Jacobs. En este mismo evento, la organización anunció su plan de sucesión en el que su presidente, Ramón A. Ojeda dejara su cargo a la orden de la institución a principios de 2013 para explorar oportunidades de negocios en el ramo empresarial.
 El Presidente saliente de la Junta Directiva de la Cámara, el Sr. Antonio L. Caravia, felicitó y agradeció a la Junta de Directores por un año lleno de muchos logros e iniciativas exitosas. “2011 fue un año gratificante para la organización, que incorporó cinco nuevos miembros síndicos y ofreció valiosos servicios a más de 1,000 miembros” dijo el Sr. Caravia. El presidente saliente enfatizó que los éxitos logrados por la Cámara en el 2011 se alcanzaron por el fuerte desempeño de sus “eventos insignia”, que resultaron en un extraordinario e histórico rendimiento financiero, a pesar de la actual situación económica de la región.
El programa continuó con la participación del presidente de la Cámara, Sr. Ramón Ojeda, presentando la nueva campaña institucional titulada”I Am The Hispanic Chamber” (Yo soy la Cámara de Comercio Hispana). La campaña enfatiza que la Cámara es una organizaciónplural y diversa, compuesta de múltiples actores que son fundamentales para maximizar el valor agregado a la comunidad empresarial y comercial de la Florida Central.  La ceremonia de Instalación de la Junta Directiva fue dirigida por el juez del noveno circuito José Ramón “Pepito” Martínez que juramentó a los Oficiales y a la Junta de Directores de la organización. Después de ser juramentada como la nueva Presidenta, Maritza Martínez compartió con los asistentes su visión para el próximo año. Su papel con la Cámara de Comercio Hispana y la comunidad empresarial será el desarrollar y maximizar las oportunidades de negocio a través de iniciativas de negocios e innovación constante para ayudar a contribuir al éxito económico de la región.
Además, la Presidenta de la Junta Directiva, la Sra. Martínez anunció la transición de liderazgo del presidente de la organización, Ramón A. Ojeda, quien emprenderá oportunidades de negocios a título personal. Martinez aplaudió su capacidad de liderazgo e importantes contribuciones en su rol de presidente de la cámara durante los últimos nueve años; y además compartió con la audiencia que su mandato como presidente al frente de la organización continuará hasta el primer trimestre de 2013. “Vamos a extrañar a Ramón mucho el próximo año, pero apreciamos todos los éxitos que la Cámara Hispana ha tenido bajo su destacado liderazgo”, dijo la Presidenta de la Junta Directiva, Maritza Martínez.
Como parte del plan de sucesión puesto en marcha por la Junta Directiva el año pasado, los directores de la organización decidieron que la actual vice presidenta de la organización, la Sra. Diana Bolívar, asumirá el papel de presidente de la organización en el año 2013. 
El plan de sucesión también requiere la contratación de un nuevo vicepresidente, búsqueda que dará inicio en el otoño del 2012. El Presidente Ramón Ojeda declaró: “Ha sido un honor y un privilegio servir a nuestra comunidad todos estos años. La pasión, la visión y el trabajo en equipo han sido factores clave en el alcance de este nivel de éxito en la Cámara de Comercio Hispana.” Ojeda también celebró el plan de sucesión de liderazgo, reafirmando el papel de liderazgo que tiene por delante la futura presidente entrante. “Durante los próximos meses, voy a seguir trabajando arduamente para nutrir y fomentar el liderazgo de Diana y así poder guiarla hacia un camino de éxito que redunde en el éxito de la organización y sus afiliados.”

HCCMO announcment of leadership succession of 2012/13 officers and board of directors
Orlando, FL – As the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando (HCCMO) welcomed a new Chair and Board of Directors, the organization also announced its leadership succession plan, and that after nearly a decade of service, Chamber President Ramon A. Ojeda will step down in 2013 to explore business opportunities outside the organization.
 The news was shared at the Chamber’s 20th Annual Installation of the Chair and Board of Directors in a business luncheon celebrated in downtown Orlando at the beautiful and historic Ballroom at Church Street with more than 480 business and community leaders and elected officials, including Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs.
HCCMO’s outgoing chair, Antonio L. Caravia of Exterior Walls, Inc., congratulated and thanked the outgoing board of directors for a successful year filled with many accomplishments. “2011 was a rewarding year for the organization, which incorporated five new trustees and provided valuable services to more than 1,000 members” Mr. Caravia said. The outgoing Chair emphasized the success the chamber obtained through the strong performance of its signature events, which resulted in the best financial performance ever
achieved by the organization, despite the economic downturn.
As the program continued, HCCMO president Ramon Ojeda presented the new institutional campaign for 2012 titled “I Am the Hispanic Chamber”. The campaign emphasizes the fact that HCCMO is a plural and diverse organization comprised of multiple stakeholders that are critical in maximizing the value delivered to the business community.  The induction ceremony was led by Ninth Judicial Circuit Judge Jose “Pepito” Rodriguez, who swore-in the incoming HCCMO Officers and Board of Directors. After being installed as the new Chair, Maritza Martinez shared her vision for this coming year with attendees. Her role with the Hispanic Chamber and the Hispanic business community will be to develop and maximize their business opportunities through initiatives and constant innovation and to help contribute to Central Florida’s economic success.
In addition, chair Martinez announced the transition of leadership from HCCMO’s president Ramon Ojeda, who will embark on an entrepreneurial venture locally. She applauded the leadership and significant contributions of Ramon Ojeda as president of HCCMO for the past nine years and shared with the audience that his term as president will continue until the first quarter of 2013. “We will greatly miss Ramon in 2013 and appreciate all of the remarkable milestones and successes that the Hispanic chamber has enjoyed under his leadership” chair Martinez said.
 As part of the succession plan designed by HCCMO’s leadership during 2011, the Board of Directors decided that current HCCMO Vice President, Diana Bolivar, will take on the leadership role of president of the organization.
The succession plan also calls for the recruitment of a new HCCMO vice president beginning in the fall of 2012. President Ojeda said, “It has been an honor and a privilege to serve our community all these years. Passion, vision and teamwork are key factors to achieve this level of success for the Hispanic chamber.” Ojeda also praised the leadership succession plan by reaffirming the future leadership role of the incoming president. “During the next months, I will continue to nurture Diana’s leadership and guide her so that HCCMO continues its path of success, delivering value driven initiatives to benefit chamber members and the community at large.”
