Orlando, FL - Luego de 11 días fuera del Amway Center, el Orlando Magic finalmente regresó a su cancha el martes para vencer a los Charlotte Bobcats. Ellos tuvieron cuatro juegos fuera de casa, en uno de los viaje más largos de la temporada. El viaje comenzó en Sacramento donde destronaron a los Kings, quienes recientemente despidieron a su entrenador principal Paul Westphal. Dwight Howard luchó con problemas de falta contra su joven centro, DeMarcus Cousins, pero Orlando pudo dominar el juego sin su hombre grande.
El triunfo fue seguido de dos días libres antes de que los hombres del Magic se dirigieran a Pórtland para uno de sus más fuertes encuentros hasta ahora. Los Blazers han estado jugando bien bajo su poderoso delantero LaMarcus Aldridge, quien ha tomado el papel del anotador principal en el equipo. Siete jugadores anotaron en la doble figura para Orlando y estuvieron dominando la mayor parte del juego. Resistieron en el juego contra Pórtland logrando la victoria 107-104, siendo la primera derrota del Blazers en su casa esta temporada.

Con un juego de matinée el Día de Martin Luther King en el Madison Square Garden el Magic concluyó su viaje. Estos derrotaron a los Knicks 102-93 con anotación de 30 puntos de Ryan Anderson la más alta en su carrera, quien logró 7 tiros de tres puntos en el juego. Orlando se dividió los dos juegos de regreso a casa contra los Charlotte y San Antonio y tendrá que enfrentar a los Lakers el viernes en la noche.
Magic sweep 4 game road trip

Orlando, FL - After 11 days outside of the Amway Center, the Orlando Magic finally returned to their home court on Tuesday to take on the Charlotte Bobcats. They had been on a four game road trip, which is one of their longest of the season. The trip started in Sacramento where they dethroned the Kings, who had just fired their head coach, Paul Westphal. Dwight Howard struggled with foul trouble against their young center, DeMarcus Cousins, but Orlando was able to take care of business without the big man.
The win was followed by two days off before the Magic men headed into Portland for one of their toughest matchups yet. The Blazers had been playing good behind power forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who has taken on the role of go-to scorer for the team. Seven players scored in double figures for Orlando and they led for most of the game. They withstood a late game rally from Portland and pulled out a 107-104 win, giving the Blazers their first home loss of the season.
The very next night Orlando was in Golden State to take on the Warriors. David Lee and Monta Ellis proved to be a tough one-two punch for the Magic, scoring a combined 56 points. New head coach Mark Jackson chose to resort to the “Hack-A-Howard” approach on defense, which led to Dwight taking an NBA record 39 free throws in the game. Dwight finished the game with an astounding 45 points and 23 rebounds and the Magic won again.
It was a matinee game on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Madison Square Garden that finished the road trip for the Magic. They defeated the Knicks 102-93 behind a career high 30 points for Ryan Anderson, who hit 7 three-pointers in the game. Orlando has split a pair of games back at home against Charlotte and San Antonio and will have to face the Lakers on Friday night.
