Condado Osceola – El martes, 22 de noviembre 2016 marcó una ocasión muy especial para el Condado Osceola. Comisionados, Peggy Choudhry por el Distrito 2, Brandon Arrington por el Distrito 3 (titular) y Fred Hawkins Jr. por el Distrito 5 (titular) fueron juramentados en sus cargos de elección popular.
Los Comisionados Arrington y Hawkins Jr. estarán sirviendo su tercer mandato en la junta. Las comisionadas Viviana Janer por el Distrito 2 y Cheryl Grieb, Distrito 4 también estuvieron presentes durante la toma de posesión. Debe tenerse en cuenta que esta es la primera vez en la historia de Comisionados del Condado Osceola que hay mayoría de mujeres en la junta.
La Comisionada, Peggy Choudhry fue juramentada por el alcalde de Orlando, Buddy Dyer y declaró: “Se puede hacer una gran diferencia a través del servicio público. Espero que mi elección ayude a potenciar a las mujeres y otros en esta comunidad.”

Oriundo de la zona el Comisionado de Osceola Brandon Arrington fue juramentado por su madre, Mary Jane Arrington, la actual Supervisora de Elecciones y dijo: “Estoy listo para seguir trabajando duro en los temas que son importantes para nuestros residentes.”
Un residente que lleva mucho tiempo en el Condado de Osceola, Comisionado Fred Hawkins Jr., juramentado por el actual Sheriff del Condado Osceola Bob Hansell, declaró: “Tengo ganas de seguir construyendo un futuro todos seremos orgullosos no sólo en cuatro años, pero a 20 o 30 años hacia el futuro.

Osceola County elected Commissioners Swearing-In

Osceola County—Tuesday, November 22nd, 2016 marked a very special occasion for Osceola County. Commissioners, Peggy Choudhry—District 2, Brandon Arrington—District 3 (incumbent) and Fred Hawkins Jr.—District 5 (incumbent) got swore into their elected positions.
Commissioner Arrington and Hawkins Jr. will be serving their third term on the board. Commissioner Viviana Janer—District 2 and Cheryl Grieb—District 4 were also present during the swearing. It must be noted that this is the first time in the history of Osceola County Commissioners that there is majority of women sitting on the board.
Commissioner, Peggy Choudhry was sworn in by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and stated, “You can make a huge difference through public service. I hope that my election helps empower women and others in this community.”

Osceola Native Commissioner Brandon Arrington was sworn in by his mother, Mary Jane Arrington, the current Supervisor of Elections and said, “I’m ready to continue working hard on the issues that are important for our residents.”
A long-term resident of Osceola County, Commissioner Fred Hawkins Jr., sworn in by current Osceola County Sheriff Bob Hansell, stated, “I look forward to continuing to build a future we will all be proud of not just in four years—but from 20 or 30 years from now.”
