Osceola County, FL – Los siguientes cuatro estudiantes del Distrito Escolar de Osceola han obtenido calificaciones “perfectas” poco comunes en su Examen de Lengua y Cultura Española de Colocación Avanzada® (AP®) de nivel universitario realizado en mayo de 2023:
· Matias Edwards – Celebration High School
· Emanuel Romero – Osceola High School
· Renata Ceron Angelucci – Professional and Technical High School (PATHS)
· Maria Rodriguez – Osceola County School for the Arts
Estos estudiantes son cuatro de los 247 estudiantes en el mundo que obtuvieron todos los puntos posibles en el examen AP de Lengua y Cultura Española.
“Estamos muy orgullosos de Matías, Emanuel, Renata y María por este honor. No sólo obtener una puntuación máxima de 5, sino también obtener todos los puntos posibles en el examen AP es un logro asombroso”, expresó el Dr. Mark Shanoff, superintendente del Distrito Escolar de Osceola. “Este honor no es sólo un crédito para los estudiantes, sino también para sus maestros de las escuelas Celebration High, Osceola High, PATHS y Osceola County School for the Arts por prepararlos para tal éxito”.
“Los cursos y exámenes AP son de nivel universitario y exigen una gran concentración y persistencia por parte de los estudiantes participantes”, declaró Trevor Packer, responsable del Programa de Colocación Avanzada. “Aplaudimos a los educadores que animan a los estudiantes a desafiarse a sí mismos, que motivan y animan a estudiantes diversos a alcanzar su potencial académico.”
“Los estudiantes que obtienen calificaciones aprobatorias en los exámenes AP tienen la oportunidad de ahorrar una cantidad significativa de tiempo y dinero al obtener créditos universitarios o una colocación. Los colegios y universidades de todo el mundo reciben puntuaciones AP para créditos universitarios, colocación avanzada y/o consideración en el proceso de admisión.”
Four Osceola Students Earn “Perfect” Scores
Osceola County, FL – The following four students in the Osceola School District have earned rare “perfect” scores on their college-level Advanced Placement® (AP®) Spanish Language and Culture Exam taken in May 2023:
Matias Edwards – Celebration High School
Emanuel Romero – Osceola High School
Renata Ceron Angelucci – Professional and Technical High School (PATHS)
Maria Rodriguez – Osceola County School for the Arts
These students are four of only 247 students in the world to earn every point possible on the AP Spanish Language and Culture Exam.
“We are extremely proud of Matias, Emanuel, Renata, and Maria. To not only earn a top score of a 5 but to earn every possible point on the AP Exam is an amazing accomplishment,” said Dr. Mark Shanoff, Superintendent of the Osceola School District. “This honor is not only a credit to the students but also to their teachers at Celebration High, Osceola High, PATHS, and Osceola County School for the Arts for preparing them for such success.”
“AP courses and exams are college-level, requiring great focus and persistence among participating students,” said Trevor Packer, head of the Advanced Placement Program. “We applaud the educators who encourage students to challenge themselves, who motivate and encourage diverse students to achieve their academic potential.”
Students who earn passing scores on AP exams have the chance to save a significant amount of time and money by earning college credit or placement. Colleges and universities around the world receive AP scores for college credit, advanced placement, and/or consideration in the admission process.
