KUA anuncia a los ganadores del Calendario de Conservación de Energía 2022

Kissimmee, FL — Kissimmee Utility Authority anunció a los ganadores de su 28º Concurso Anual de Arte del Calendario Estudiantil. Abierto a estudiantes del condado Osceola desde kinder hasta quinto grado, el concurso promueve la conservación de energía entre los estudiantes y sus familias.

Este año se recibieron un total de 1,229 entradas de 15 escuelas primarias del condado Osceola. 

Un panel de jueces se reunió en noviembre y seleccionó 12 artes, una para cada mes del calendario, que se presentarán en el Calendario de Conservación de Energía 2022 de la empresa de servicios públicos.

Los 12 estudiantes ganadores tendrán sus obras de arte presentadas en el calendario 2022 y cada uno recibirá un premio de $150. 

El nombre y la obra de arte del ganador del gran premio aparecerá en la portada del calendario y en un vehículo de la flota de KUA durante un año.

La escuela de la ganadora del gran premio, Holy Redeemer Catholic School, recibirá $750 en materiales de arte, y la Primaria Flora Ridge recibirá $500 en materiales de arte por presentar la mayor cantidad de entradas en el concurso.

Los calendarios se distribuirán de forma gratuita a partir de enero.

KUA Announces winners of 2022 Energy Conservation Calendar 

Kissimmee, FL — Kissimmee Utility Authority announced the winners of its 28th annual student calendar art contest. 

Open to Osceola County students in kindergarten through fifth grade, the contest promotes energy conservation among students and their families.

This year a total of 1,229 entries were received from 15 Osceola County elementary schools. 

A panel of judges met in November and selected 12 entries – one for each calendar month – that will be featured in the utility’s 2022 Calendar of Energy Conservation.

The winners are:

Valentina Vargas, Central Avenue Elementary School, Grade 4 

Genesis Gomes, Renaissance Charter School at Boggy Creek, Grade 5 

Katelyn Martinez, Holy Redeemer Catholic School Grade 4

Adrian Quiñones, Holy Redeemer Catholic School, Grade 5

Mikaylah Dy, Holy Redeemer Catholic School, Grade 5

Desiree Torres, Holy Redeemer Catholic School, Grade 5

Iarah Medilien, East Lake Elementary School, Grade 4

Leticia Barreto, Renaissance Charter School at Boggy Creek, Grade 5

The 12 winning students will have their artwork featured in this 2022 calendar and each will receive a $150 cash prize. 

The grand prize winner’s name and artwork will be featured on the calendar cover and will be affixed to a KUA fleet vehicle for one year.

The grand prize winner’s school, Holy Redeemer Catholic School, will receive $750 in art supplies, and Flora Ridge Elementary will receive $500 in art supplies for submitting the most total entries in the contest.

The calendars will be distributed free of charge, beginning in January.
