Scholarship Awards 2019 Ceremony

Today, Amigos Helping Amigos in partnership with Osceola County Commissioner Peggy Choudhry, the Hispanic Business Council Kissimmee/Osceola represented by Chair Monica Chavero and Florida Technical College, along with other sponsors presented scholarships of $2,500 each to 7 well-deserving students. This special award luncheon recognized the scholarship recipients outstanding achievements.

The speakers at the luncheon were County Commissioner Peggy Choudhry and past scholarship recipient Elizabeth Sabillon.



Amigos Helping Amigos Scholarship Recipients of 2019:

Agostina Manatrizio, graduated from Gateway High School and will start her major in Biomedical Sciences this fall at the AdventHealth University.

Xelayris Martinez, graduated from Windermere high school and will begin her major in legal studies with a minor in Business at the University of Central Florida.

Marco Antonio Jimenez Potenza, previously graduated St. Cloud High School and will be attending the University of Central Florida majoring in Journalism with a minor in Digital Media.

Catherine Higareda, a dual enrollment student who graduated from Osceola County School of Arts and Valencia College and will start at the University Central Florida in the fall. She will be pursuing her master’s in interdisciplinary studies with a minor in Business Administration.

Caroline Serrano who graduated from TECO a professional and technical high school with dual enrollment at Valencia College will be attending Florida State University. She will be majoring in Environmental Science with a minor in Engineering.

Carmen Luciano attending Florida Technical College will be majoring in Criminal Justice.

Bismark Rodriguez also attends Florida Technical College and is studying Culinary Arts.
