Anuncian finalistas de los Premios Don Quijote 2022

Orlando, FL — La emoción aumenta para la 25a entrega de los Premios Don Quijote cuando la Cámara de Comercio Hispana de Metro Orlando (HCCMO por sus siglas en inglés) y Prospera revelaron a los finalistas de las cuatro categorías, junto con los ganadores de los premios Campeón de la Comunidad Hispana y Homenaje a la Trayectoria  de este año durante una conferencia de prensa en el Museo de Arte de Orlando.

Los Premios Don Quijote reconocen a empresas e individuos comprometidos con la excelencia y el desarrollo de la comunidad hispana de la Florida Central. El ganador o la ganadora de cada categoría será anunciado/a en la 25ª Celebración de los Premios Don Quijote el 10  de diciembre de 2022.

Los finalistas de los Premios Don Quijote de 2022 son:

Empresa hispana del año, cinco años o menos:

  • Guacamole Mexican Grill, Inc. Representada por sus dueños: Diego Rojas and Gustavo Aristizabal.
  • Samantha’s Walls, LLC. Representada por su dueña: Samantha Senf.
  • Unik Title LCC. Representada por su dueña Lynette Quiñones .

Empresa hispana del año, más de cinco años:

  • Competitive Edge Partners & Consulting. Representada por su dueña: Debbie Rodriguez.
  • Lim Law PA. Representada por su dueño: Henry Lim.
  • Representada por sus dueños: Olga Marcela Restrepo y Juan Velez.

Profesional del año:

  • Adriana Cadilla, médica de enfermedades infecciosas del Nemours Children’s Hospital.
  • Migdalia Figueroa, Presidenta y Gerente General de Telemundo Orlando en Universal Telemundo Enterprises.
  • Luis Nieves-Ruiz, Director de Desarrollo Económico del Consejo de Planificación Regional del Este de Florida Central.

Premio a la excelencia:

  • Josephine Balzac Arroyo, Profesora Asistente de Emprendimiento Social en Rollins College.
  • Bod Cortes, exrepresentante estatal y administrador sénior de Asuntos Gubernamentales de la Oficina del Sheriff del condado de Semiole
  • Mayor Carlos Torres, División de Patrulla Uniforme de la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Orange.

El ganador del Premio Campeón de la Comunidad Hispana Don Quijote de este año es: Dr. Michael Burket, Presidente de Florida Technical College y el ganador del Premio a la Trayectoria de este año es: Modesto Alcala, Vicepresidente Senior de Desarrollo Global de Restaurantes y Placemaking para Universal Creative.

Finalists announced for the Don Quijote Awards 2022

Orlando, FL — Excitement mounts for the 25th Annual Don Quijote Awards as the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando (HCCMO) and Prospera revealed the four category finalists, along with the winners of the this year’s Hispanic Community Champion and Lifetime Achievement Awards during a press conference at the Orlando Museum of Art.

The Don Quijote Awards recognize companies and individuals committed to excellence and the development of the Hispanic community in Central Florida. The winner of each category will be announced at the 25th Don Quijote Awards Celebration on December 10, 2022.

The finalists for the 2022 Don Quijote Awards are:

Hispanic Business of the Year, Five Years or Less:

  • Guacamole Mexican Grill, Inc. Represented by its owners: Diego Rojas and Gustavo Aristizábal.
  • Samantha Walls, LLC. Represented by its owner: Samantha Senf.
  • Title Unik LCC. Represented by her owner Lynette Quiñones.

Hispanic Business of the Year, More than Five Years:

  • Consulting and competitive advantage partners. Represented by its owner: Debbie Rodriguez.
  • Law Lim PA. Represented by its owner: Henry Lim.
  • Sky Builders. Represented by its owners: Olga Marcela Restrepo and Juan Vélez.

Professional of the Year:

  • Adriana Cadilla, Infectious Disease Physician at Nemours Children’s Hospital.
  • Migdalia Figueroa, President and General Manager for Telemundo Orlando at Universal Telemundo Enterprises.
  • Luis Nieves- Ruiz, Director of Economic Development at East Central Florida Regional Planning Council

Excellence Category:

  • Josephine Balzac Arroyo, Assitant Professor of Social Entrepreneurship at Rollins College
  • Bod Cortes, former State Representative and Senior Administrator for Government Affairs for the Semiole County Sheriff’s Office
  • Major Carlos Torres, Uniform Patrol Division at Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
