Comisionado Brandon Arrington, Ofrece Alivio Para El Regreso a Clases

“No preguntamos nada.”.

Las escuelas visitadas este año incluyen Poinciana Academy of Fine Arts, Discovery Intermediate School, Deerwood Elementary School, Koa Elementary School, Chestnut Elementary School for Science and Engineering, Reedy Creek Elementary School (alma máter del Comisionado Arrington), Horizon Middle School, Sunrise Elementary School y Pleasant Hill Elementary School.

Vice Chairman Arrington’s Back-to-School Tour Strengthens District 3

Osceola, FL – During his 4th Annual Back-to-School Tour this week, Osceola County Vice Chairman Brandon Arrington delivered over 900 backpacks filled with essential supplies and 117 digital tablets to nine public schools across District 3.

What makes this initiative unique is the trust placed in teachers and principals—those who understand their students’ needs best—to discreetly distribute the supplies to children who need them most. “Our teachers are on the front lines every day, and I trust them to ensure these resources reach the children who need them most,” Arrington said.

Since launching the program, more than 2,500 backpacks have been delivered throughout the district, easing the financial burden on families and providing students with tools to succeed. This year, the addition of 13 tablets per school supports not only classroom learning but also incentive programs that motivate attendance and engagement.

Educators appreciate the thoughtful distribution. Millie Torres, Principal at Deerwood Elementary, shared, “We give the backpacks out during Open House without asking questions. Families leave ready for the first day of school, and that’s what matters.”

Dr. Annette Kalloo-Molina, Principal of Koa Elementary, noted, “As a Title I school, these donations are a huge help. Many of our families have multiple children, and the tablets also boost attendance incentives, keeping students motivated.”

Schools benefiting from this year’s tour included Poinciana Academy of Fine Arts, Discovery Intermediate, Deerwood Elementary, Koa Elementary, Chestnut Elementary for Science and Engineering, Reedy Creek Elementary (Arrington’s alma mater), Horizon Middle, Sunrise Elementary, and Pleasant Hill Elementary.
