Kissimmee, FL – El Salvation Army del Condado Osceola se enorgullece de anunciar otro hito increíble en su programa Camino a la Vivienda, felicitando a su octava familia por convertirse oficialmente en propietarios de su hogar.
Angela, una madre dedicada y profesional trabajadora, ejemplifica la disciplina y la determinación que el programa Camino a la Vivienda busca cultivar. Después de meses de clases, asesoramiento y responsabilidad constante por parte del equipo de Camino a la Vivienda, Angela alcanzó su sueño de ser propietaria de una vivienda, un sueño que alguna vez pensó que estaba fuera de su alcance.
“Este programa te abre los ojos para ver las cosas de manera diferente”, dijo Angela. “Después de meses de clases y de que este increíble equipo me llamara constantemente, hiciera seguimiento y me mantuviera responsable, aprendí a mantenerme positiva y enfocada. Si alguien se siente nervioso o dudoso acerca de darle una oportunidad a este programa, yo diría que crean en Dios, crean en el proceso, llámenlos, nunca se sabe. Tú también puedes convertirte en propietario de una vivienda.”
El programa Pathway to Housing es una extensión de la iniciativa nacional Pathway of Hope del Salvation Army. Empodera a las familias para romper el ciclo de la pobreza intergeneracional mediante la combinación de asesoramiento crediticio, gestión de casos, educación financiera y talleres prácticos que preparan a los participantes para la estabilidad y el éxito a largo plazo.“

8th Pathway to Housing program family to achieve homeownership
Kissimmee, FL – The Salvation Army of Osceola County is proud to announce another incredible milestone in its Pathway to Housing program congratulating its eighth family on officially becoming homeowners.
Angela, a dedicated mother and hard-working professional, exemplifies the discipline and determination the Pathway to Housing program seeks to cultivate. After months of classes, counseling, and consistent accountability from the Pathway to Housing team, Angela achieved her dream of homeownership, a dream she once thought was out of reach.
“This program opens your eyes to see things differently,” said Angela. “After months of classes and this amazing team consistently calling, following up, and holding me accountable, I learned to stay positive and focused. If someone is nervous or hesitant about giving this program a chance, I’d say believe in God, believe in the process, give them a call, you never know. You too can become a homeowner.”
The Pathway to Housing program is an extension of The Salvation Army’s nationwide Pathway of Hope initiative. It empowers families to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty by combining credit counseling, case management, financial education, and hands-on workshops that prepare participants for long-term stability and success.
“This milestone is about more than just closing on a home, it’s about breaking cycles and building futures,” said Emma Peña, Pathway to Housing Program Director. “Angela’s story shows what’s possible when families commit to the process and when the community unites to provide the resources and encouragement they need.”
This life-changing initiative continues to thrive thanks to the unwavering grant support of Congressman Darren Soto, Commissioner Peggy Choudhry, and the Osceola County Board of Commissioners, as well as community partners such as Housing 4 All and several local banks that host financial literacy workshops.
