Condado Osceola, FL – El 16 de marzo de 2026, agentes del Condado Osceola acudieron al complejo de apartamentos Heritage Park en respuesta a un disturbio que involucraba a varios menores en un parque comunitario. Según testigos y un niño de 10 años, se produjo un altercado físico entre un grupo de niños que jugaban en el parque. Uno de los grupos de niños se marchó y regresó a la zona acompañado de sus madres.
Dos mujeres (madres de los niños involucrados) iniciaron una discusión verbal con algunos de los niños. Una de las madres, Ketsy Ann Rivera, de 41 años (nacida el 17/05/1984), empujó a sus propios hijos (de 8 y 9 años) hacia la víctima de 10 años y les ordenó que golpearan al niño. Acto seguido, Ketsy Rivera agarró a la víctima por la camisa, impidiendo que se marchara o se defendiera.
Se observó que la víctima presentaba una hinchazón considerable en el ojo izquierdo. La madre de la víctima se presentó en el lugar y solicitó que se procesara a la mujer que había retenido ilegalmente a su hijo. El departamento de bomberos acudió para evaluar médicamente al niño y determinó que no presentaba lesiones graves.
Ketsy Rivera fue arrestada por los cargos de: Contribución a la delincuencia de un menor, Abuso infantil sin causar lesiones corporales graves y Detención ilegal, por haber retenido a la víctima contra su voluntad. Fue ingresada en la Cárcel del Condado de Osceola.
Mother arrested following fight involving children
Osceola County, FL – On March 16, 2026, Osceola County deputies responded to the Heritage Park apartment complex following a disturbance involving several minors at a community park. According to witnesses and a 10-year-old child, a physical altercation broke out between a group of children playing in the park. One of the groups of children left the area but subsequently returned, accompanied by their mothers.
Two women (mothers of the children involved) initiated a verbal argument with some of the children. One of the mothers—Ketsy Ann Rivera, 41 (born May 17, 1984)—pushed her own children (ages 8 and 9) toward the 10-year-old victim and ordered them to strike the child. Immediately thereafter, Ketsy Rivera grabbed the victim by the shirt, preventing the child from leaving or defending themselves.
The victim was observed to have significant swelling around the left eye. The victim’s mother arrived at the scene and requested that charges be pressed against the woman who had unlawfully detained her child. The fire department responded to medically evaluate the child and determined that the child had not sustained any serious injuries.
Ketsy Rivera was arrested on charges of: Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Child Abuse Without Causing Great Bodily Harm, and False Imprisonment (for having detained the victim against their will). She was booked into the Osceola County Jail.
