a Northbridge University, marcando una nueva etapa en la trayectoria de la institución y reflejando su crecimiento académico y su expansión en Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico. Con más de 45 años de historia, la universidad ha ampliado su oferta educativa y su presencia geográfica. El cambio de nombre busca representar de forma más precisa la dimensión actual de la institución y su proyección a largo plazo.
Como parte de esta transición, Northbridge University lanzará más de 30 nuevos programas académicos, incluidos bachilleratos y doctorados, 10 de los cuales comenzarán en 2026. La nueva oferta se concentrará en áreas de alta demanda como tecnología, salud, negocios y construcción, además de disciplinas emergentes como la inteligencia artificial.
“Se trata de una evolución natural de una institución sólida y respetada que ha crecido significativamente desde su fundación en 1982”, expresó Michael Bannett, CEO de Northbridge University. “Hoy ofrecemos programas que van desde certificados técnicos hasta doctorados, manteniendo la formación técnica como un pilar fundamental”. Además de los programas académicos, la universidad desarrolla 20 programas de credenciales cortas enfocados en áreas de alta demanda laboral, como construcción, negocios, tecnología y salud. Kissimmee, FL – NUC University – Florida Technical College has entered the next chapter in its institutional history with a new identity as Northbridge University, a strategic evolution that reflects the institution’s transformation, expanded academic offerings, and growing national presence. As part of this evolution, the university is launching more than 30 new academic programs, with 10 scheduled to begin in 2026. These include new bachelor’s and doctoral degrees, as well as programs in emerging, technology-driven fields such as artificial intelligence.

In addition to degree programs, the university is developing 20 short-term credential programs designed to respond to workforce shortages and create faster pathways to employment. These programs will focus on high-demand fields such as construction, business, technology, and healthcare. Founded nearly five decades ago, the institution has grown into a multi-state university system, now operating 19 campuses in Puerto Rico, 8 in Florida, and 3 in Oregon, along with a national online presence serving more than 25,000 students in over 40 states.
