Kissimmee, FL – España volvió a escribir una página dorada en la historia del fútbol al proclamarse campeona de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA 2026 tras vencer 1-0 a Argentina en una emocionante final disputada en el MetLife Stadium de Nueva York.
Ante miles de aficionados que llenaron las gradas y millones de espectadores alrededor del mundo, La Roja consiguió su segundo título mundial gracias a un gol de Ferran Torres en el minuto 106 de la prórroga, poniendo fin al sueño argentino de conquistar el bicampeonato.

Una fiesta en las tribunas
Desde varias horas antes del inicio del partido, los alrededores del MetLife Stadium se transformaron en una verdadera fiesta futbolística. Miles de aficionados de España y Argentina llegaron con camisetas, banderas y cánticos para acompañar a sus selecciones en la cita más importante del fútbol mundial.
Durante más de dos horas de juego, las dos hinchadas alentaron sin descanso, creando una atmósfera inolvidable. Finalmente, fueron los seguidores españoles quienes celebraron un día histórico al ver a su selección levantar nuevamente el trofeo más importante del deporte.

Con este triunfo, España conquista su segunda Copa Mundial de la FIFA, 16 años después de su primer título conseguido en Sudáfrica 2010, confirmando el gran momento de una nueva generación de futbolistas que ya comienza a dejar su huella en la historia.

In front of thousands of fans who filled the stands and millions of viewers around the world, La Roja secured its second World Cup title thanks to a goal by Ferran Torres in the 106th minute of extra time, ending Argentina’s dream of winning back-to-back championships.
From the beginning of the match, Spain took control of the game. La Roja controlled the pace, applied constant pressure in the opponent’s half, and was the team that pushed forward the most in attack, creating numerous chances and forcing goalkeeper Emiliano “Dibu” Martínez to make several saves to keep Argentina alive. La Albiceleste, on the other hand, looked uncomfortable for much of the match and barely managed to threaten the goal defended by Unai Simón, who had a relatively quiet night. Spain recorded 20 shots, 12 of them on target, while Argentina practically failed to trouble Unai Simón during regulation time.
The situation became even more difficult for Argentina after Enzo Fernández was sent off, leaving the South American team with ten players during the decisive moments of the match.
