Orlando, FL – El municipio de Orlando exhorta a los artistas visuales locales a enviar sus propuestas para exhibir sus obras de arte en la Galería Terrace de la alcaldía de Orlando. Las artes desempeñan un rol fundamental en la herencia hispanoamericana, es por tal motivo que el municipio presenta esta exhibición de arte anual para mostrar la riqueza de la historia y el patrimonio cultural de Latinoamérica.
El tema de este año tiene como objetivo presentar piezas de arte inspiradas en el deporte del dominó, que históricamente ha sido parte importante de la cultura latinoamericana y, a menudo, se asocia con tradiciones y valores compartidos familiares, en la comunidad y los amigos.
Las propuestas deben enviarse en o antes del 25 de agosto de 2023 a las 11:59 p.m. La exhibición de arte se presentará del 8 de septiembre al 13 de noviembre de 2023.
Los artistas interesados en participar en la convocatoria deben enviar los siguientes documentos a Patrick Greene, coordinador de Arte Público del municipio de Orlando, a patrick.greene@orlando.gov:
- Nombre completo del artista y el nombre que desea se use para identificar las piezas de arte
- Biografía o resume/hoja de vida del artista
- Fotos de al menos cinco obras de arte en formato JPG relacionadas al deporte del dominó
- Descripciones de cada obra
- Cada pieza de arte debe estar identificada con la siguiente información:
- Nombre del artista
- Título de la obra
- Año en que fue creada
- Medidas
- Técnica
Call for artists Hispanic Heritage Month Art Exhibit at Orlando City Hall
Orlando, FL – The City of Orlando encourages local visual artists to submit proposals to exhibit their artwork at the Orlando City Hall Terrace Gallery. The arts play a fundamental role in the Hispanic American heritage, which is why the municipality presents this annual art exhibition to show the richness of the history and cultural heritage of Latin America.
This year’s theme aims to feature art pieces inspired by the sport of dominoes, which has historically been an important part of Latin American culture and is often associated with shared family, community and friends traditions and values.
Proposals must be submitted on or before August 25, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. The art exhibition will run from September 8 to November 13, 2023.
Artists interested in participating in the call should send the following documents to Patrick Greene, City of Orlando Public Art Coordinator, at patrick.greene@orlando.gov:
- Full name of the artist and the name you wish to be used to identify the pieces of art
- Biography or resume/life sheet of the artist
- Photos of at least five works of art in JPG format related to the sport of dominoes
- Descriptions of each work
- Each piece of art must be identified with the following information:
- name of the artist
- Title of the work
- Year in which it was created
- Measurements
- Technique
