Kissimmee, FL – Education Foundation del Condado Osceola se enorgullece en anunciar la creación de la Beca Legado Tom Tompkins, establecida para honrar a Tom Tompkins, fundador de Education Foundation y defensor de toda la vida de la educación y el servicio comunitario en el Condado Osceola.
Tom fundó la Education Foundation en 1985 con la visión de cerrar la brecha entre la educación pública y el apoyo comunitario, garantizando que cada estudiante tenga acceso a las herramientas y oportunidades necesarias para tener éxito. La Beca del Legado Tom Tompkins se otorgará anualmente a un estudiante de último año del condado Osceola que ejemplifique liderazgo, integridad y servicio a los demás, cualidades que reflejan los valores de Tom y la misión que ayudó a establecer hace 40 años.

Education Foundation Osceola County announces the Tom Tompkins Legacy Scholarship
Kissimmee, FL – The Education Foundation Osceola County is proud to announce the establishment of the Tom Tompkins Legacy Scholarship, created to honor Tom Tompkins, founder of the Education Foundation and a lifelong advocate for education and community service in Osceola County.
Tom founded the Education Foundation in 1985 with a vision to bridge the gap between public education and community support, ensuring every student has access to the tools and opportunities needed to succeed. Over the past four decades, his leadership, generosity, and commitment have shaped the Foundation into a cornerstone of educational excellence and opportunity in Osceola County.
The Tom Tompkins Legacy Scholarship will be awarded annually to an Osceola County graduating senior who exemplifies leadership, integrity, and service to others—qualities that reflect Tom’s values and the mission he helped establish 40 years ago.
“Tommy’s vision and passion for supporting education have transformed the lives of countless students across Osceola County,” said Kerry Avery, Executive Director of the Education Foundation Osceola County. “The Tom Tompkins Legacy Scholarship is a tribute to his lifelong dedication and honors a legacy of hope that continues to uplift students for generations to come.”
The first Tom Tompkins Legacy Scholarship will be awarded in April 2026 as part of the Education Foundation’s annual scholarship program. Donations to support the scholarship fund can be made through the Foundation’s website foundationosceola.org
