Condado Osceola, FL – El Distrito Escolar de Osceola ha nombrado a las siguientes personas como sus Voluntarios Escolares Destacados del Año 2025 en reconocimiento a su compromiso excepcional con el aprendizaje y el éxito de los estudiantes:
Voluntaria Escolar Destacada Adulta del Año – Bettina Grzeskowiak, Celebration High School
A través del trabajo de la Sra. Grzeskowiak con el Grupo de Voluntarios Embrace Celebration, su objetivo es ayudar a tantas personas como sea posible, particularmente a aquellas que luchan contra la inseguridad alimentaria. Celebration High School tiene un mercado para que los estudiantes “compren” artículos no perecederos peor le faltaba frutas y verduras frescas. Al ver la necesidad la Sra. Grzeskowiak y Embrace entraron en acción. Todos los viernes, ella y el equipo de Embrace van al Banco de Alimentos Second Harvest y recogen un camión lleno de artículos frescos para entregarlos en varias escuelas, incluida Celebration High. Cada semana, se entregan varios cientos de libras de artículos, de forma gratuita, a la escuela para el deleite de los estudiantes. Con una gran población de estudiantes que viven en hoteles, esta comida puede ser literalmente un salvavidas. Voluntaria Escolar Destacada Adulta Mayor del Año – Silvana Vitale, Centro de Aprendizaje para Adultos Osceola
La Sra. Silvana Vitale se desempeña como voluntaria diariamente en dos clases de ESOL para adultos, ofreciendo apoyo constante y compasivo a los estudiantes del idioma inglés de diversos orígenes. Ha sido voluntaria más de 420 horas, con un promedio de 21 horas por semana, y se ha convertido en una piedra angular de la experiencia en el salón de clases. Trabaja directamente con los estudiantes en grupos pequeños e individualmente, brindando oportunidades auténticas para hablar y apoyo académico adaptado al nivel de cada estudiante. Lo que hace que el servicio de la Sra. Vitale sea especialmente impactante es su iniciativa y flexibilidad. También ayuda con la organización del salón de clases, desarrolla materiales de aprendizaje complementarios y adapta su apoyo para satisfacer las necesidades cambiantes de los estudiantes.
Voluntario Escolar Destacado Juvenil del Año – Dalton Gould, Escuela Intermedia Horizon
Como estudiante de último año de escuela superior, Dalton Gould equilibra la escuela, los deportes y su vida social mientras se ofrece como voluntario en la Escuela Intermedia Horizon. Siempre está dispuesto a ayudar y hacer un esfuerzo adicional para facilitar la vida de los maestros al brindar más de 150 horas de servicio voluntario este año. Pasó el pasado mes de julio ayudando al personal de la escuela a preparar el campus para el regreso de maestros y estudiantes. Clasificó los libros de texto y los entregó en los salones de clase, trasladó los artículos sobrantes y los preparó para retirarlos, y ayudó con las noches de entrega de tecnología para los estudiantes. Una vez que los maestros regresaron, él ayudó a trasladarlos a los salones de clase, los ayudó a decorar y retiró la basura para ayudar a nuestros conserjes.
Voluntario Escolar Destacado Juvenil del Año – Logan Harrolle, Escuela Elemental Narcoossee
Logan Harrolle, estudiante de último año de la Escuela Superior St. Cloud, ha sido reconocido por su destacado servicio a la Escuela Elemental Narcoossee. Mientras se preparaba para su último año de escuela superior, Logan todavía encontró tiempo para ofrecerse como voluntario durante el verano pasado y este año escolar. Brindó una valiosa ayuda a la escuela con ayuda en el inventario y la distribución de los dispositivos informáticos de los estudiantes. También ha ayudado a varios maestros a configurar sus salones de clase y mover artículos al mudarse de un salón a otro para el nuevo año escolar.

Osceola School District names four individuals as 2025 Outstanding School Volunteers of the Year
Osceola County, FL – The Osceola School District has named the following individuals as its 2025 Outstanding School Volunteers of the Year in recognition of their exceptional commitment to student learning and success:
Adult Outstanding School Volunteer of the Year – Bettina Grzeskowiak, Celebration High School
Through Ms. Grzeskowiak’s work with the Embrace Celebration Volunteer Group, her goal is to help as many people as possible, particularly those who struggle with food insecurity. Celebration High School has a market for students to “shop” at for non-perishable items. What they were missing was fresh fruits and vegetables, and in stepped Ms. Grzeskowiak and Embrace. Every Friday, she and the Embrace Team go to the Second Harvest Food Bank and pick up a box truck full of fresh items to be delivered to several schools, including Celebration High. Each week, several hundred pounds of items are delivered, free of charge, to the school to the delight of students. With a large population of students who live in hotels, this food can literally be a lifesaver. On any given Friday, there are approximately 350-400 students who come through the market during lunch to get food, particularly the fresh fruit and vegetables.
Senior Outstanding School Volunteer of the Year – Silvana Vitale, Adult Learning Center Osceola
Ms. Silvana Vitale serves as a volunteer daily in two adult ESOL classes, offering consistent and compassionate support to English Language Learners from diverse backgrounds. She has volunteered over 420 hours, averaging 21 hours per week, and has become a cornerstone of the classroom experience. She works directly with students in small groups and one-on-one, providing authentic speaking opportunities and academic support tailored to each learner’s level. What makes Ms. Silvana’s service especially impactful is her initiative and flexibility. She also assists with classroom organization, develops supplemental learning materials, and adapts her support to meet evolving student needs.
Youth Outstanding School Volunteer of the Year – Dalton Gould, Horizon Middle School
As a high school senior, Dalton Gould balances school, sports, and his social life while volunteering at Horizon Middle School. He is always willing to help and to go the extra mile to make teachers’ lives easier by giving over 150 hours of volunteer service this year. He spent last July assisting school staff in preparing the campus for teacher and student return. He sorted textbooks and delivered them to the classrooms, moved surplus items and prepped them for removal, and assisted with the technology-delivery nights for students. Once teachers returned, he helped move them into classrooms, helped them decorate, and removed trash to assist the custodians.
Youth Outstanding School Volunteer of the Year – Logan Harrolle, Narcoossee Elementary School
Logan Harrolle, a senior at St. Cloud High School, has been recognized for his outstanding service to Narcoossee Elementary. While prepping for his last year of high school, Logan still found the time to volunteer during last summer and this school year. He provided valuable assistance to the school with help on the inventory and distribution of student computer devices. He has also readily helped multiple teachers with setting up their classrooms and moving items for them when they moved classrooms from last school year.
These four volunteers were recognized by the Osceola County School Board at the School Board Meeting on May 27, 2025.
