Kissimmee, FL – Llegar a los playoffs de la NBA es el objetivo de todo equipo y, tras tener que pasar por el Torneo Play-In, el Orlando Magic no se está tomando esta oportunidad a la ligera.
Eliminar al primer cabeza de serie será un desafío para el Magic, pero es uno para el que están preparados. Después de ganar un partido en Detroit gracias a un ataque equilibrado y con la serie empatada 1-1, el Magic regresó a Orlando con la esperanza de tomar la delantera en la serie. Jugar en casa les brindó la confianza necesaria para ganar el tercer partido.
Con el Magic arriba 2-1, se esperaba que Detroit jugara con desesperación de cara al cuarto partido; sin embargo, las cosas no se desarrollaron así al principio, ya que el Magic comenzó el encuentro con gran acierto en los tiros de campo anotando 5 de 6 intentos en los primeros minutos y poniéndose por delante 15-5. Los tiros libres fallados por Cade Cunningham y un triple de Desmond Bane sentenciaron el partido a favor del Magic, que se llevó la victoria por 94-88.
El Magic lidera la serie 3-1 frente al primer cabeza de serie, los Detroit Pistons; la serie regresará ahora a Detroit para disputar el quinto partido. El Magic cometió 10 pérdidas de balón frente a las 20 de Detroit, pero Detroit ganó la batalla en la pintura, superando al Magic con 44 puntos anotados en la zona frente a los 34 del equipo de Orlando. ¿Saldrán los Detroit Pistons con la desesperación que esperábamos ver en el cuarto partido, ahora en un quinto encuentro decisivo en casa, o logrará el Magic robarse la serie y mantener su anotación más equilibrada, dependiendo de cuán limitado se encuentre Franz Wagner? Orlando Magic battle in the playoffs

Kissimmee, FL – Getting to the NBA playoffs is every team´s goal and after having to go through the Play-In Tournament, the Orlando Magic are not taking the opportunity lightly.
Knocking off the number 1 seed will be a challenge for the Magic, but one they are up for. After taking a game in Detroit in a balanced attack and with the series at 1-1, the Magic came back to Orlando hoping to take the series lead. Playing at home gave them the confidence to win game 3.
With the Magic up 2-1, it was expected that Detroit would play with desperation going into game 4 but that is not how it unfolded at the beginning, with the Magic starting the game hot from the field with 5/6 shooting in the first few minutes, and up 15-5. The game was closer than expected with Detroit up 1 at the end of the first quarter, and the Magic up 2 after the half. Both teams have been showing how they earned their spots in the playoffs due to their strong defenses, keeping the series relatively low scoring.
The Magic went into the 4th quarter up 6, but in the playoffs no lead is safe. Magic struggled in the 4th with Franz out due to calf soreness in the 3rd, who will be questionable for game 5, with the Magic going scoreless the first 2 minutes and 43 seconds until a much needed Paolo and 1 put them on the board in the 4th. When the Magic had their scoring droughts in the 4th, big baskets kept the intensity up including a 3 from Jalen Suggs and 2 baskets from Jamal Cain including a huge poster slam on Jalen Duren. Missed free throws by Cade Cunningham and a 3 from Desmond Bane sealed the game for the Magic winning 94-88.
Magic are up 3-1 in the series against the number 1 seed Detroit Pistons, with the series going back to Detroit for game 5. The Magic had 10 turnovers compared to Detroit´s 20, but Detroit won the battle down low outscoring the Magic with 44 to 34 points in the paint. Will the Detroit Pistons come out with the desperation we expected in Game 4, in a close out Game 5 at home for Detroit or will the Magic be able to steal the series and maintain their more balanced scoring depending on how limited Franz Wagner is. As of our print deadline, game 5 has not concluded, either the Magic have won the series 4-1, or they are coming back to Orlando for game 6 Friday, May 1st at the Kia Center to try and win the series at home.
