Kissimmee, FL – El Ejército de Salvación del Condado Osceola  anunció las primeras familias seleccionadas para su innovador programa Pathway to Housing. Esta iniciativa única está diseñada para ayudar a las familias a romper el ciclo de la inseguridad de la vivienda brindándoles las herramientas necesarias para lograr el sueño americano de la propiedad de vivienda y la estabilidad financiera. El programa es el resultado de una colaboración entre The Salvation Army, Housing 4 All y el Condado Osceola. Ofrece educación financiera vital y asistencia a las familias necesitadas.

El 24 de abril, el Ejército de Salvación del Condado Osceola y la Comisionada del Condado Osceola, Peggy Choudhry, realizaron una conferencia de prensa para presentar a las primeras familias y celebrar el éxito del programa. This unique initiative is designed to help families break the cycle of home insecurity by giving them the tools they need to achieve the American dream of homeownership and financial stability. The program is the result of a collaboration between The Salvation Army, Housing 4 All and Osceola County. Offers vital financial education and assistance to families in need.

On April 24, The Salvation Army of Osceola County and Osceola County Commissioner Peggy Choudhry held a press conference to introduce the first families and celebrate the success of the program. The event was held at 10 am at The Salvation Army’s Osceola County location in Kissimmee. Pathway to Housing is a reflection of the community’s shared passion and mission to help address our housing issues. They welcome not-for-profit, for-profit, and private entities to join and expand their impact.

The Pathway to Housing program provides families with one year of rent payments, allowing them to save what they would have spent on rent for a down payment on their own home. Through homebuyer courses, credit education, and financial literacy training, families gain the skills necessary for long-term financial stability. The Salvation Army and Housing 4 All will then match the families’ savings to double their down payment amount on a home of their own in Osceola County.
