Finalists Osceola School District’s Teacher of the Year, school-related Employee of the Year, Principal of the Year, and Assistant Principal of the Year

Osceola County, FL – ​The field of nominees for Osceola School District’s Teacher of the Year and School-Related Employee of the Year has been narrowed down to the top ten finalists in both categories, all of whom received a surprise visit from Superintendent Dr. Mark Shanoff announcing the news.

The following educators have been named as the top ten finalists for Teacher of the Year:

  • Kyndall Brown, Agriculture Teacher – Harmony Middle
  • Kyle Carr, Science Teacher – Harmony High
  • Melanie Gonzalez, Science Teacher – Discovery Intermediate 
  • Richard Holley-Byrd, Personal Finance Literacy Teacher – Celebration High
  • Haley Macky, Kindergarten Teacher – Canoe Creek K-8
  • Samuel Morrow, Social Studies Teacher – St Cloud High
  • Benjamin Niewoehner, Instructional Coach – NeoCity Academy

The names of the district’s Teacher of the Year, School-Related Employee of the Year, Principal of the Year, and Assistant Principal of the Year will be announced at the annual Education Awards ceremony to be held on January 30, 2025, at Osceola Heritage Park.
