La Cámara de Comercio de Osceola será la anfitriona de su 99ª Reunión Anual en el nuevo año. Premio al Servicio Linda Goodwin-Nichols
El Premio al Servicio Linda Goodwin-Nichols lleva el nombre de Linda Goodwin-Nichols de Goodwin Realty & Associates, dos veces presidenta de la Junta Directiva de la Cámara de Comercio de Osceola y una incondicional de la comunidad empresarial de Osceola durante 50 años. A lo largo de su carrera, Linda ha personificado la participación en la comunidad y la retribución desinteresada, y este premio honra a una persona que continuará con su legado. Premio a la Unidad Guillermo Hansen
Para reconocer la importancia de los valores fundamentales de la Cámara de “Abrazar el patrimonio”, “Crear oportunidades” y “Construir unidad”, y de nuestros socios que los promueven, en enero de 2018, el presidente Tim Finkenbinder anunció la creación de un premio para enfatizar estos valores, en particular “Construir unidad”. En 2024 se celebrará la quinta entrega de este premio. La comunidad de Osceola se entristeció por la pérdida a principios de este año de Guillermo “Bill” Hansen, el ganador inaugural de este premio y propietario y director de El Osceola Star Newspaper. Guillermo fue miembro de la Cámara durante mucho tiempo y también fue un líder comunitario conocido por construir puentes entre las diversas poblaciones del Condado Osceola. Como ejemplo de lo que ejemplifica este premio, este año fue rebautizado en su honor.
Los nominados recibirán una solicitud para completar y los ganadores serán elegidos por un panel de jueces. Los tres finalistas se anunciarán antes de la Reunión Anual de la Cámara de Comercio de Osceola y el ganador del premio se dará a conocer en el evento.

Nominations for the Chamber’s Linda Goodwin-Nichols Service Award & Guillermo Hansen Unity Award
The Osceola Chamber will host the 99th Annual Meeting in the new year. Every year at this event, attendees look forward to learning who will take home the major awards, including the Linda Goodwin-Nichols Service Award and the Guillermo Hansen Unity Award. The Osceola Chamber is now accepting nominations for both awards through December 22, 2023.
Linda Goodwin-Nichols Service Award
The Linda Goodwin-Nichols Service Award is named after Linda Goodwin-Nichols of Goodwin Realty & Associates, two-time Chairman of The Osceola Chamber Board of Directors, and a stalwart of Osceola’s business community for 50 years. Throughout her career, Linda has epitomized community involvement and giving back selflessly, and this award honors an individual who will carry on her legacy. Recent past winners include Kelly Trace, Larry Walter, and Rev. Mary Downey.
Guillermo Hansen Unity Award
To recognize the importance of the Chamber’s core values of “Embracing Heritage,” “Creating Opportunity,” and “Building Unity,” and our partners who promote them, in January of 2018 Chairman Tim Finkenbinder announced the creation of an award to emphasize these values – particularly “Building Unity.” 2024 will mark the fifth presentation of this award. The Osceola community was saddened by the loss earlier this year of Guillermo “Bill” Hansen, the inaugural winner of this award and owner and editor of El Osceola Star Newspaper. Guillermo was a longtime Chamber member who was also a community leader known for building bridges among the diverse populations of Osceola County. As an example of what this award exemplifies, it was renamed in his honor this year.
Nominees will receive an application to complete and winners will be chosen by a panel of judges. The top three finalists will be announced ahead of The Osceola Chamber’s Annual Meeting and the award recipient will be revealed at the event.
