Kissimmee, FL – Osceola Reads se complace en anunciar una nueva asociación con Valencia College para instalar dos Little Libraries (Pequeñas Bibliotecas) en el campus, una en el de Poinciana y otra en el de Osceola. La instalación de estas Little Libraries tiene como objetivo fomentar el amor por la lectura entre los estudiantes y la comunidad local, brindando una forma cómoda y gratuita de acceder a los libros. Cada Little Libraries cuenta con una variedad de libros para todas las edades en inglés, español y criollo haitiano, fomentando el hábito de leer y compartir entre comunidades y generaciones.
El artista local Eric Frost ha pintado maravillosamente las Little Libraries, reflejando la identidad y el espíritu únicos de cada campus. Sus diseños creativos capturan la esencia de los campus de Poinciana y Osceola, haciendo de las Little Libraries un recurso y una parte vibrante del entorno del campus. Eric está orgulloso de haberlos pintado para la comunidad en la que creció.

Amanda Kelkenberg, directora ejecutiva de la Coalición de Aprendizaje Temprano (Early Learning Coalition) del Condado Osceola, destacó la importancia de las asociaciones comunitarias para mejorar la alfabetización. “Asociaciones comunitarias como esta son cruciales para aumentar las tasas de alfabetización en nuestra comunidad. Al trabajar juntos, podemos crear más oportunidades para que los niños y las familias accedan a libros y recursos educativos, fomentando el amor por la lectura desde una edad temprana. Osceola Reads Partners with Valencia College to install Little Libraries in the community
Kissimmee, FL – Osceola Reads is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Valencia College to install two Little Libraries on campus, one at the Poinciana Campus and another at the Osceola Campus. The installation of these Little Libraries aims to foster a love for reading among students and the local community, providing a convenient and free way to access books. Each Little Library has been stocked with a variety of books for all ages in English, Spanish, and Haitian-Creole, encouraging the habit of reading and sharing across communities and generations.
Local artist Eric Frost has beautifully painted the Little Libraries, reflecting each campus’ unique identity and spirit. His creative designs capture the essence of the Poinciana and Osceola campuses, making the Little Libraries both a resource and a vibrant part of the campus environment.
