A partir del 4 de abril de 2023, los visitantes de Walt Disney World Resort, también conocidos como Usuarios, serán escaneados digitalmente en un misterioso mundo de juego virutal en TRON Lightcycle / Run presentado por Enterprise. Como miembros del equipo Azul, abordarán motos Lightcycle de alta velocidad para una carrera emocionante a través de un mundo oscuro y computarizado, enfrentándose a un grupo feroz de Programas conocido como equipo Naranja.
La nueva atracción, ubicada en Tomorrowland en el parque Magic Kingdom, es la montaña rusa más rápida de cualquier parque temático de Disney, junto con su montaña rusa hermana en Shanghai Disneyland. Combina magistralmente la emoción de una montaña rusa, con la velocidad, efectos visuales, música y un sistema de viaje único en su tipo para crear una experiencia como ninguna otra.
Después de los eventos de la película de The Walt Disney Studios de 2010, TRON: Legacy, TRON Lightcycle / Run, permite a los visitantes ingresar al mundo digital a través de los portales que abrió Sam Flynn, el hijo del creador de la Red, Kevin Flynn. Beginning April 4, 2023, Walt Disney World Resort guests, also known as Users, will be digitally scanned into a mysterious virtual game world on TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise. As members of Team Blue, you’ll board high-speed Lightcycle bikes for a thrilling race through a dark, computerized world, facing off against a fierce group of Programs known as Team Orange.
The new attraction, located at Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom park, is the fastest roller coaster in any Disney theme park, along with its sister coaster at Shanghai Disneyland. It masterfully combines the thrill of a roller coaster, with speed, visual effects, music, and a one-of-a-kind ride system to create an experience like no other.
Following the events of The Walt Disney Studios’ 2010 film TRON: Legacy, TRON Lightcycle/Run allows visitors to enter the digital world through portals opened by Sam Flynn, the son of the creator of the Web, Kevin Flynn. The Magic Kingdom portal complements another portal located in Shanghai Disneyland. Sam created the Lightcycle / Run competition for Users and Programs to interact “friendly” in a game-style competitive event.
With its massive and impressive “curve wave” deck, the new attraction is an extraordinary addition to the Tomorrowland skyline. Lightcycle trains appear out of nowhere, twisting and turning in high-speed fun beneath the shimmering canopy as they make their way towards the Grid game. The experience is even more dramatic after sunset, as the changing patterns of light and color create a powerful image both for Users and for those who pass by.
The TRON experience begins before guests board the Lightcycle vehicles. After stepping beneath the attraction’s stunning canopy, you’ll enter a Digitizer for another powerful preview of what’s in store for you once you join the game. They will then board their Lightcycle bikes at the Sync Station.
A whole new shopping experience is the perfect place to gear up for the Net with racing-themed clothing, collectible pins, toys and more.
Energy Bytes, a new quick-service kiosk near TRON Lightcycle/Run, will put a fun spin on global cuisine. The offer of sweet and savory food is a nod to the repertoire of regional dishes at Shanghai Disneyland, where the first TRON portal is located.
